About
Well, it looks like I’m not in Kansas anymore! I’m Nathan Zimmerman, a musical theatre actor who’s been collaborating and sharing my craft across the U.S. Born and raised in the small town of Salina, Kansas, my love for music and theatrics were jump-started by my mother’s piano playing. I started my musical journey as a violist and upright bassist, but quickly became enamored by the enchantment of live theatre. I received my BFA in musical theatre from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA and I am currently located in the NYC area.
My passion for story telling drives me to pursue the deepest truth within my art forms. With genuineness and resilience, my main ambition is to inspire. Positivity is key in my eyes, and with an unshakeable dream, this once trifling farm-boy is determined to take on the world.
Most recently, I’ve been collaborating in Round Barn Theatre’s production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Some of my favorite roles that I have been fortunate enough to play include Hugo in Tuck Everlasting, Specs in Newsies, and Franz in Rock of Ages. When I’m not onstage, you can find me tending to my garden, exploring the city, watching the latest horror films, or playing with my two beautiful, yet mildly irritating cats, Marlon and Frida.
